Amazon Launched The New Amazon Halo View Health Tracker

  • Amazon announced the brand new Halo View fitness band and additions to its Halo Fitness app.
  • The Halo smartphone app will include new features such as Halo Fitness soon this year and Halo Nutrition in January 2022.
  • According to Amazon, the new fitness tracker will be delivered on time for Christmas 2021.

Amazon is getting into the fitness tracker game (again) and its newest product is getting us ready to pre-order. The Halo View is the latest addition to the Halo collection, which launched in August 2020 with the screenless Halo Band.

It’s unclear when Amazon will change the “soon” tag to “pre-order” on its landing page, but the shopping giant claims the wearable will ship on time for the holidays this year, according to a press release.

The latest fitness tracker from Amazon is $ 79.99, plus an additional $ 3.99 monthly fee for Halo membership after the first year. The new Halo View is available in the three colors sage green, lavender dream and active black. It is available in small / medium or medium / large sizes. There are also 15 additional exercise bands available for purchase starting at $ 14.99 and eight fabric bands starting at $ 29.99 each.

If you’re wondering how the fitness tracker compares to the original Halo Band, the original is $ 99.99 and also has the $ 3.99 monthly membership fee – but that fee starts after the first six months of the user. The original halo ribbon is available in a variety of fabric and sports ribbons and sizes. In terms of functionality, it is similar to the new model, but without a screen. Both fitness tracking bands are waterproof and swim-proof up to 50 meters, and have a seven-day battery life that fully charges in 90 minutes.

The Halo View not only counts steps like an average fitness tracker, but also takes into account important health metrics such as heart rate and blood oxygen levels and sends texts and reminder notifications, all of which are displayed on the color touchscreen. As a unique feature, Halo View includes a tone analysis option that allows users to analyze how their tone of voice is perceived by others (really mind-blowing technology).

Through the Halo smartphone app, users have access to monitoring sleep temperature, wake and sleep time, calories burned, heart rate, steps, activity sessions and limited workouts, recipes and custom programming. With an additional active membership ($ 3.99 per month), users can access a number of additional benefits, including tools to help manage sleep, improve exercise, measure body composition, and more.

The Halo smartphone app will also soon be expanded to include Halo Fitness and Halo Nutrition. The fitness area offers hundreds of exclusive workouts, including cardio, strength, yoga, outdoor and mobility classes. And members have access to workouts from Orangetheory, SWEAT, Aaptiv, and more. Users can also use the app to perform a “movement assessment” to create a personalized exercise program, and can also use their smartphone camera and the Halo app to measure body fat percentage.

The nutrition section includes personalized meal planning tools and recipes from WW (formerly Weight Watchers), Lifesum and Whole Foods Market. Members can easily add recipe ingredients and additional groceries directly to their Alexa shopping list.

Halo Fitness will be available later this year, while Halo Nutrition is slated to launch in January 2022. We can’t wait to get our hands on this new model and take advantage of all of the breakthrough technology that the fitness tracker has to offer!
