Looking at other women, a native of North Carolina decided to open a beauty bar where women and mothers could beautify themselves and feel good.
Nyoshi LaShae opened Bunny’s Beauty and Butter Bar at 7460 YadkinRoad, Suite A in June 2020. It offers a variety of beauty products and services – from moisturizers to body washes and beauticians to teeth whitening.

“I want to open a full-service shop where women can come in and get everything they need in one store,” said LaShae. “They have their nails done, their teeth whitened, waxed, contoured, micro-shaded.”
The beauty bar offers products such as whipped shea butter, facial cleanses, body scrubs, and oils. .

For those looking to relax, Bunny’s Butter and Beauty Bar hosts Whine Down Wednesday every third Wednesday of the month.
“Men can go to the sports bar and do their thing, so why not have a place where women come in and we have wine and refreshments and we can just sit down and whine together, we relax,” said LaShae. “It’s something we can do because we’re all mothers, so we need this time for ourselves and this ‘me’ time. It’s not always about getting to a point and spending money, it’s not about us where we are fully focused on things. We really want it to be like a safe place. “

The beauty bar has a beautician, a nail technician and a teeth whitening technician. LaShae offers microshading and body contouring. To schedule an appointment with one of the staff, LaShae said the best way would be through one of her Instagram accounts. You can find your contact details on the shop’s Facebook page.
The shop is only open by appointment during the week, except on Wednesdays when walk-in customers are welcome from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Mondays when the shop is closed. Walk-ins are also welcome on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The story goes on
When she opened her store, LaShae said she had other women entrepreneurs on her mind.
“I’ve seen a lot of women at the same point when I wanted to start my business to get on my feet,” she said. “They didn’t know where to start or wanted to be in a place where they felt comfortable; they wanted to be in their own space, a good space.”
