Fitness + water sports = a whole summer full of fun

Summer is here and what better way to cool off and stay healthy than with an outdoor fitness session followed by a dip in the cool water?

Trainyard has partnered with the outdoor lifestyle platform Diverse World Adventures for a series of three outdoor sessions that combine classes from some of our best Trainyard trainers with kayaking and paddleboarding lessons.

Our destination: Wenyu River Park

Wenyu River Park, which opened in September 2020, is Beijing’s “green lung” and is located at the intersection of Chaoyang, Shunyi and Changing Districts. The beautiful 30 km² park combines forests, lakes and rivers with plenty of space for outdoor activities.

July 11: morning yoga + kayaking + picnic lunch

Customize your day with an invigorating yoga class led by the famous teacher Ran Yue, who has over 30,000 hours of teaching experience. After your yoga, get on the water and learn how to paddle a kayak, a watercraft with a thousand years of history.

8.15-8.30 a.m .: Meet at Wenyu River Park West Gate 6

8.30am-8.40pm: Make your way to the yoga venue

8.40-9.25 a.m .: 45-minute yoga class taught by Ran Xue

9.25-9.30: rest

9.30am-11.30am, kayaking (includes equipment introduction, lessons, games, competitions, and more)

11.30am-12.30pm: Picnic lunch

July 18th: Morning HIIT + SUP + picnic lunch

Start the day with a high-octane HIIT class led by Angel Eugenio, then try your hand at the super popular water sport SUP. The modern form of SUP, or stand-up paddleboarding, originated in Hawaii, but people have been using boards and paddles to move through the water for thousands of years. Not only is it fun and easy to learn, it’s a great full body workout and helps improve balance.

8.30am-8.40pm: Make your way to the place for HIIT

8.40-9.25 a.m .: 45-minute HIIT class from Angel Eugenio

9.25-9.30: rest

9.30am-11.30am: SUP (includes equipment introduction, briefing, games, competitions and more)

11.30am-12.30pm: Picnic lunch

July 25: morning run + kayaking + picnic lunch

Get your blood pumping on a 3-mile run through the beautiful surroundings of Wenyu River Park, then cool off with a kayak session on the water. The run is led by Mr. Truck (aka Liangzhi Jiang), an experienced mountain runner who has completed several 100km + runs and is a certified trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

8.15-8.30 a.m .: Meet at Wenyu River Park West Gate 6

8.30am-8.40pm: Go to the location for the run

8.40-8.55 a.m .: Warm-up and professional briefing from Mr. Truck

8.55-9.25 a.m .: 5 km run

9.25-9.30: rest

9.30am-11.30am, kayaking (includes equipment introduction, lessons, games, competitions, and more)

11.30am-12.30pm: Picnic lunch
