Summer has officially arrived here in northeast Ohio and on this occasion more and more people are spending their time outside.

Fortunately for Parma residents or those willing to take the trip; a local park has a new addition.

On Thursday the city of Parma unveiled the new “Warrior Fitness Course” in James Day Park.

“Are you ready to play? The Warrior Fitness Course is ready for you!” Said the city of Parma in a Facebook post on Thursday.

The new course features five-fold steps, a cargo climb, an unstable bridge, and much more. The course mimics several obstacles from the NBC show “American Ninja Warrior”.

The new course was made possible in partnership with the City of Parma Parks and Recreation, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and the Parma Amateur Athletic Federation as part of the “Process Through Partnerships” initiative.

James Day Park is located at 11828 W Pleasant Valley Road.
