Ventura police seek for man suspected of robbing magnificence retailer with handgun

VENTURA, Calif. – Ventura Police are searching for a suspected robber Thursday after a beauty supply store was robbed at gunpoint.

At around 7:25 p.m., officials said their police command center had received an 911 call reporting that an armed robbery had just occurred at Sally’s Beauty Supply on Telephone Street.

The caller told police the robber was a man in his 30s who wore a black hat and a camouflage face mask. He is said to have been armed with a handgun.

They said the man walked into the shop and asked for money from the staff while he picked up his jacket and showed a gun in his waistband.

One of the employees gave the man an unknown amount of cash from the till.

The man is said to have fled the shop by bike across the parking lot in an eastward direction.

Police cars arrived at the scene in less than two minutes and searched the area for the robber, who was not found.

No one was injured in this incident.
